
Vanessa Hauc
Anchor and Director, “Noticias Telemundo Planeta Tierra”
Vanessa Hauc is the anchor and director of “Planeta Tierra,” Noticias Telemundo’s environmental-issues investigative unit. She is also the co-founder of Sachamama or “Mother Jungle,” a nonprofit working to inspire, empower, and educate the Latino community on climate issues and sustainability. Previously, Hauc worked with The Climate Reality project on its “24 Hours of Reality” initiative. In 2019, she was named one of the ten Latinos leading on climate by HuffPost and received the Environmental Voice Arts Award on behalf of the Society of Voice Arts and Sciences. In 2020, Hauc became the first climate journalist to moderate a presidential debate, highlighting climate change as a leading issue among Latino voters.
