Simran Jeet Singh is executive director of the Religion & Society Program at the Aspen Institute. An educator, writer, scholar, and champion for religious pluralism, he is a Soros Equality Fellow with the Open Society Foundations, senior advisor on equity and inclusion for YSC Consulting, and a visiting professor at Union Seminary. Singh is a regular contributor to The Washington Post, CNN, and TIME Magazine, a monthly columnist for Religion News Service, and author of the best-selling children’s book Fauja Singh Keeps Going. His latest book, The Light We Give: How Sikh Wisdom Can Transform Your Life, comes out in July 2022. In 2020, TIME magazine recognized him as one of 16 people fighting for a more equal America.
