Ricardo Rosselló is governor of Puerto Rico, since January 2017. His main objective is to guide Puerto Rico in overcoming its government and financial crises and obtain equality for the island with statehood. In 2012, Rosselló founded the movement Boricua Ahora Es with this goal in mind and that same year published the book, Un mejor Puerto Rico es possible. Prior to his political career, Rosselló was a professor at Metropolitan University and an auxiliary professor at the University of Puerto Rico Medical Sciences Campus. His research work has been acknowledged with several awards, including the Top Ten Outstanding Young Persons from JCI International, and has been published in several science journals.
