Justin Worland is a senior correspondent at TIME magazine, where he covers climate change and the intersection of policy, politics, and society out of the magazine's Washington, DC, bureau. Since coming to the beat in 2015, his work has included features and cover stories such as Greta Thunberg’s Person of the Year story and “Climate Is Everything.” In previous roles at TIME, he covered health and breaking news. Working to improve the climate conversation beyond TIME, Worland serves on the steering committees of Columbia University’s Energy Journalism Initiative and the Uproot Project, a network for environmental journalists of color. He is a graduate of Harvard College, where he was associate managing editor of The Harvard Crimson in 2013.
