Jacqueline Novogratz is founder and CEO of Acumen, which invests in sustainable businesses addressing poverty. Under her leadership since 2001, Acumen launched KawiSafi, an impact fund for off-grid solar in East Africa, cultivates leaders through fellowship programs, and reached 450,000 learners through its +Acumen online school for social change. Previously, Novogratz founded and directed programs at the Rockefeller Foundation, co-founded a micro-finance institution in Rwanda, and worked at Chase Manhattan Bank. Her best-selling memoir is The Blue Sweater: Bridging the Gap Between Rich and Poor in an Interconnected World. A board member of the Aspen Institute, Novogratz was named one of Forbes’s World’s 100 Greatest Living Business Minds.
