David Brooks is an op-ed columnist at The New York Times and chair of Weave: The Social Fabric Project at the Aspen Institute. He is the author of, most recently, The Second Mountain: The Quest for a Moral Life, as well as Bobos In Paradise, The Social Animal, and the No. 1 New York Times best-seller The Road to Character. Previously, Brooks was a senior editor at The Weekly Standard and held several posts at The Wall Street Journal. Earlier in his career, he reported for The Washington Times and the City News Bureau, a wire service in Chicago. A contributing writer at The Atlantic, Brooks commentates on “The PBS Newshour,” NPR’s “All Things Considered,” and NBC’s “Meet the Press.
