Dave Chokshi is chief population health officer at NYC Health + Hospitals (NYC H+H) and CEO of the NYC H+H Accountable Care Organization. He practices primary care at Bellevue Hospital and is a clinical associate professor of population health and medicine at NYU Langone Medical Center. Chokshi was previously a White House Fellow at the US Department of Veterans Affairs and held positions with the New York City and state health departments, Louisiana Department of Health, and a clinical software company. In 2016, President Obama appointed him to the Prevention Advisory Group. He has written on medicine and public health in publications including the New England Journal of Medicine and The Atlantic.
